Breakaway Respite House is a purpose built centre for people with disabilities to stay for short periods while their carers have a break and is a great example of our Adaptable Living services (hyperlink to Adaptable living page). This centre includes 6 bedrooms for patients plus one for a support worker. It also incorporates a day respite room which is available to organisations to use for entertainment purposes and teaching life skills to their clients.This respite home is a state of the art facility which was designed meeting the requirements of the client, workers and patients.It has a centralised control for all media and gaming plus security and monitoring. There is speciality equipment installed for moving and lifting special needs clients.It is self efficient for power during the day thanks to its 54 solar panels with battery system storage to power the lighting during the night.The building also has battery backup power to a GPO point in each room 24/7 power is required to power critical systems.
